About us
The Technical Group of Battery Manufacturing is a project type group. This group has been conducting research and development to achieve high performance and large capacity of Li-ion battery from the time of group start. However the group is forced to modify the direction of activities due to ignition accident of battery. It will be studied hereafter how to contribute to the development of next-generation batteries which satisfy the conditions of safety, durability and low-cost.
Current level of technology, trend and activities in future
- The production of batteries for EVs is expanding rapidly, and competition is intensifying for further reduce costs.
- The cost of electricity produced by renewable energy sources is plummeting, and the demand for storage batteries is rapidly increasing.
- The cost of hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources is plummeting, and expectations for hydrogen and fuel cells are increasing.
In this way, there are more and more opportunities for powder technology to play an active role, and technological and business development in line with social trends is required.
