About us
The Technical Group of Dust Collection is one of the oldest technical groups in APPIE. This technical group is continuously engaged in the following activities: multifunctional dust collection technology, durability of filter cloth, establishment of ISO standards of bag filter system, exchange with overseas organizations toward establishment of international standards, and education. The group collects and sends the latest information of dust collection under high temperature and pressure which has been an important subject for more than 10 years. Also, the group provides the results of survey concerning improvement of separation performance for ultra fine particles including nanoparticles and multifunctional technology toward simultaneous separation of various gaseous components.
Current level of technology, trend and activities in future
This group will energetically carry out various activities from a wide range of perspectives such as technical innovation, human resource development, internationalization, and standardization in the field of dust collection, and will continue to make efforts to revitalize the dust collection field in Japan from now on.
(1) Promote technological innovations such as improving particle removal performance of dust collectors, energy-saving operation, and multifunctional removal of gaseous components simultaneously.
(2) Proactively plan and operate early training courses for powder engineers and specialized courses in order to train researchers in dust collection technology and to spread the latest technology.
(3) Promote standardization (especially international standardization) of methods for evaluating the performance and life of bag filters.
